Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education

The graduate certificate program in Nursing Education is designed to prepare nurses and other health professionals to teach in academic programs, health care agencies, and in the community. The program provides courses to build a solid foundation in teaching and learning.

Target audiences for the program include the following:

  • Nursing faculty members teaching in community college and vocational programs that have not had formal education in teaching
  • Nurse educators at local health care agencies
  • Community health educators
  • Current graduate students who wish to specialize in education as part of their graduate program plan of study

Required Courses Total Credit Hours: 12

Other EDG, EDF, or NGR electives approved by the graduate program director
