The e-Learning Professional Development track prepares candidates to facilitate e-learning and to design high-quality e-learning materials for both totally online and for hybrid learning environments in business and industry, K-12 instruction, and higher education settings. The Instructional Systems professional track is designed for prospective and practicing instructional designers, training developers, multimedia specialists and training directors/managers in business, industry, government, or other settings where training, professional development and lifelong learning takes place. In each of these tracks, students are given the option of taking courses and earning the degree completely online, through mixed mode (attending class on campus every other week), or through a combination of totally online and mixed mode courses.
The Educational Technology track provides an opportunity for study, research, and professional training. It requires a great deal of independent thinking and emphasis is placed on the cultivation of scholarly attitudes and methods. Some Saturday class meetings are required.
