Bachelor of Science

The Engineering Technology at a Distance program at the University of Central Florida gives more students an opportunity to complete upper level courses in Engineering Technology and obtain a Bachelor of Science degree at a distance. This program is designed for students who have completed an Associate of Arts Degree, an Associate of Science Degree, or the equivalent. Courses are offered over the Internet via video streaming. This is a degree program and you must be admitted as a UCF undergraduate student before you register.

The Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology (BSET), Operations Concentration is an ABET accredited degree program. The Operations Concentration is similar to Industrial Engineering Technology and it provides an orientation for professional careers in technical management and operations in the manufacturing, sales, service, and construction industries. Graduates in this concentration may find careers in a number of areas, including product development, manufacturing, quality assurance and logistics, sales and field engineering, and occupational safety. Through the selection of the upper-level technical concentration, students can tailor their program to assist them in launching a career that best meets their needs and aspirations. Projects in cooperation with local industry, solving real-world problems, are required of all students in the BSET program.
