Learning Online
Course Development and Web Services offers an extensive resource for students enrolled in online courses. Included in this resource is a printable manual on using WebCT. The technical requirements needed to participate in Web-based courses are as follows: you must have access to the UCF Campus Network or the Internet through an Internet Service Provider; and you will need at minimum a Pentium PC running Windows 95 or NT, or a 60 Megahertz 603 CPU Macintosh with OS 7.5 or later, and a 28.8 Kbps modem.

Class Schedule and Registration Information
UCF runs on a semester calendar, and class registration opens in the spring for the subsequent 3 semesters. Registration then remains open for each semester until classes begin. Students search the class schedule and register using the secure Web-based tools and forms available through the UCF portal at https://my.ucf.edu Complete information on how to access and use these tools is available in the Schedule Web Guide published at the UCF Registrar's website You may need to contact your college’s student support office for assistance with restricted classes. If you experience problems registering for courses through the my.ucf.edu , call the Registrar’s Office HelpLine at 407-823-3533.

Library Services for Distance Learners
The UCF Library provides extensive learning support to distance learners. Important information on how to access UCF Library databases and other resources from off-campus is available at the libraries distributed learning website above. For complete information, use the UCF Libraries homepage.

International Students
UCF's office of International Student and Scholar Services provides advice and guidance for foreign students regarding INS (Immigration and Naturalization Service) and SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) rules, regulations and reporting.

Computer Services
Registered UCF students are assigned a free account on UCF's Pegasus Server, which can provide Internet access, e-mail services, and space for a personal Home Page on the World Wide Web. Technical assistance via the telephone or the Web is available to distributed learning students almost 24 hours a day. The User Services Help Desk offers assistance from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. You can access the Help Desk at http://www.helpdesk.edu.

Career Resource Center
UCF’s Career Resource Center provides for information and assistance regarding job placement, employment listings, on-campus recruitment, federal government employment, statewide job fairs, career expos, interviewing techniques, resume writing, internships and other career planning issues.

UCF Bookstore
Students enrolled in Web-based courses may purchase textbooks from the UCF bookstore by ordering online, or by phone (407-823-2665) or FAX (407-823-6282) using a credit card. The bookstore will ship books within 48 hours via UPS ground. For additional information, refer to the bookstore’s home page.

Campus ID Card
Even though you are a distance learner, it is possible to get a UCF photo ID card by mail. Your unique card identification numbers are needed to gain access to many of the restricted resources through the UCF library.
